All manuscripts submitted to Studia Chopinowskie undergo an initial editorial assessment. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject a submission at this stage if it violates publication ethics, lacks originality, falls outside the scope of the journal, or has not been prepared in accordance with the Instructions for Authors.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are subsequently sent for double-anonymised peer review by two independent reviewers. Under the double-anonymised review model, neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities.
Each reviewer submits a written review that concludes with a clear recommendation either to accept the manuscript for publication (with or without revisions) or to reject it.
If the two reviewers reach conflicting recommendations, the manuscript is referred to a third independent reviewer. Should the assessments remain inconclusive, the final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the Editorial Board, which may seek the opinion of members of the Journal's Editorial Committee before reaching its decision.
